Bonjour,

Je viens de terminer mon installation de debian (testing) et je m'aperçois que je suis toujours connecté avec X11. Sur la page de login je n'ai pas le choix "gnome xorg" mais seulement gnome ou gnome classique.

j'ai essayé de rajouter l'option MUTTER_ALLOW_HYBRID_GPUS=1 dans /etc/environment mais sans succès.

Donc la je sèche, si quelqu'un a une piste ?


ps: Le pc était sous archlinux et wayland avec gnome était bien fonctionnel. (version 41.3 sous arch)

Dans description du méta-paquet gnome on trouve :
Tag: interface::graphical, interface::x11, role::metapackage, role::program,
suite::gnome, suite::gnu, uitoolkit::gtk, use::gameplaying,
x11::application
et rien sur wayland, c'est probablement que Debian configure par défaut Gnome pour X11

N'étant ni utilisateur de Gnome ni de wayland je n'ai pas d'expérience à partager.

Il doit falloir désinstaller tout le X11 et installer correctement wayland :lol:

Je ne pense pas car logiquement wayland cohabite avec x11, d'ailleur sur gdm on a le choix entre wayland ou x11 normalement. Mais là pas de choix.

En regardant de plus près dans le fichier rule de gdm.

et là je crois avoir trouvé ce qui me bloque la session wayland. Donc si je comprends bien il faut que j'active nvidia_drm, sauf erreur de ma part il s'agit de le rajouter dans /etc/initramfs-tools/modules et que je regenère le initramfs ?

ok le problème était bien là.

Par contre même en rajoutant les modules dans /etc/initramfs-tools/modules et de re-generer le initramfs. cela ne change pas le problème.

Alors j'ai fait le bourrin, j'ai édité le fichier /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/61-gdm.rules et j'ai commenté toutes les lignes et ça marche j'ai accès à la session wayland depuis gdm donc sous gnome.
