Salut à tous

Me voilà de retour pour une difficulté avec le wifi de mon ordinateur HP Victus sous debian 11

A / mon souci :
L’interface graphique ne me permet pas d’accéder au Wifi 6 dont doit être équipé mon ordinateur en dual boot W11 (préinstallé ) et debian 11

Sur le forum ou j’ai trouvé un sujet apparemment semblable au mien qui m’a permis de creuser le sujet, (viewtopic.php?p=26617&hilit=debian+11+W ... ent#p26617)
et de faire les recherches préliminaires suivantes :

Peut-être qu'en installant le paquet firmware-realtek. Il est dans les dépôts non-free.

regarde aussi dans la sortie complete de dmesg si tu as des erreurs relatives au wifi

Bonjour,

Dans le sujet que tu mets en lien dans ton postage initial, on peut lire :

j'ai testé en désactivant Secure Boot dans le BIOS, avec succès ! Le module est chargé au démarrage du système et le WiFi fonctionne !

Si j'ai bonne mémoire ??? on a déjà passé un bon moment à tourner en rond pour une carte Nvidia qui ne fonctionnait pas car SecureBoot faisait obstacle au pilote non-signé.

Alors sans trop vouloir m'avancer et si le paquet du firmware est correctement installé,
je pencherais pour cette piste en premier.

grep, egrep, fgrep, rgrep - Afficher les lignes correspondant à un motif donné
Donc grep est une commande qui filtre les lignes fournies en entrée selon un motif et les options passés en argument.

Voir $ man grep pour une description complète.

La commande fournie par Piratebab permet donc d'afficher les (lignes) messages du noyau comportant le motif firmw pour trouver des choses en rapport à "firmware"

Sur le même modèle,
pour n'afficher (filtrer) que les lignes correspondant à : error=erreur ; warning=avertissement ; fail(ed)=échoué/echec
on peut :

soit faire un filtrage pour chaque motif : # dmesg | grep error .... et ainsi de suite

soit créer une commande utilisant une Expression Rationnelle (ER ou Regex) qui est un motif "elastique"

ici : # dmesg | grep -Pi '(error|warn|fail)' qui va faire le filtrage sur les 3 motifs en 1 passe.


PS: on ne peut pas tout apprendre/comprendre d'un coup, mais il faut s'y mettre... progresssivemmment :dirol:

Il faut peut-être charger le firmware dans le noyau avec modprobe.

Non, modprobe sert à charger des modules du noyau, pas des firmwares. Ce sont les modules eux-mêmes qui demandent le chargement de firmwares le cas échéant.

Ici lspci -k ne retourne pas de ligne "kernel modules", ce qui indique qu'il n'y a pas de module pilote candidat pour ce contrôleur wifi. Soit le noyau est trop ancien (essayer celui des backports), soit il faut compiler un module externe (voir chez Realtek).

Grâce aux balises "code" cela ne prend pas trop de place à l'affichage. Mais il n'y a rien d'utile puisque je répète qu'aucun pilote présent n'est identifié pour gérer ce contrôleur wifi.

Car si je comprends bien le problème est insoluble ??? et au mieux il faudra que je me débrouille avec W11 en roue de secours????

Non, je n'ai rien dit de tel. Comme je l'ai écrit, il peut y avoir deux solutions :
- Un noyau plus récent qui inclut un pilote pour ce contrôleur. Le noyau 5.16 récemment entré dans bullseye-backports a un module rtw89_pci qui reconnaît l'identifiant PCI de ce contrôleur.
- Un pilote externe à compiler avec le noyau 5.10 actuel.

  • linux-image-amd64
  • firmware-realtek
La modif du 1er pourrait (je n'utilise pas les backports habituellement) entraîner la mise à niveau du second et d'un wagon d'autres ???

Excusez-moi j'ai eu une confusion avec le backports de Buster :wacko:

Reprenons les choses dans l'ordre.
On sait que ton device id est 10ec:8852

Pour voir comment ton système actuel le prends en charge:
Avec cet identifiant, on trouve normalement sur internet le driver requis. Mais la page https://deviwiki.com/wiki/List_of_Wi-Fi ... s_in_Linux me renvoit un tableau vide aujourd’hui (ça fait longtemps que je ne l'ai plus utilisé). Vous auriez un lien qui fonctionne ?
La liste des drivrs existant est sur https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers , mais il n'y a pas la liste des devices ID supportés.


Pour voir comment ton système actuel le prends en ton device:

Tu devrais voir

Si il n'y a rien tu dois mettre à jour ton kernel comme déja indiqué.

Attention, je n'ai pas écrit que ce module prend en charge ce matériel mais qu'il reconnaît son identifiant PCI. Comme les fabricants de composants ont parfois la mauvaise idée d'attribuer le même identifiant à des composants différents, ce n'est pas une garantie de prise en charge.

Pour rechercher si un noyau installé a un module pour l'identifiant 10ec:8852 sans avoir le composant dans la machine, j'ai deux méthodes :

/sbin/modprobe -S "<version.du.noyau>" -R "pci:v000010ECd00008852sv*sd*bc*sc*i*"
Elles ne sont pas parfaites et peuvent toutes les deux fournir des faux positifs ou négatifs.
Les "lettres" hexadécimales doivent être en majuscules dans la seconde commande.

Je ne pense pas. Donc si le module a besoin d'un firmware pour ce contrôleur, il faudra probablement aussi installer le paquet firmware-realtek des backports.
